“Super food” in the general term is used when it comes to foods with an extremely good effects and direct impact on the health of your body. The super foods have for example, a high nutritional value because they contain many antioxidants, vitamin C, minerals or good dietary fiber in it. There are many types of foods available for us humans but not everyone knows exactly which foods are good for you. So what are the 5 super foods?

These are the top 5 best superfoods we selected that have most nutritional value of all types of food you can think of. As you probably noticed, all these products are natural products, these are not edited! Let’s dig deep into 5 best superfoods and reveal all secrets and why these superfoods are so good for you.

Acai & blue berries

First of the 5 best superfoods is Acai and blueberries. It may seem odd to begin this list of superfoods with a super food which you may have never heard of! However, we would like to start with the superfood “Acai Berry”. The Berry is one of the most nutritious and powerful foods in the world. This Berry grows on a special Amazon palm tree.

Harvested in the rainforests of Brazil, and tastes like a vibrant mix of berries and chocolate (you read that right, chocolate, women find these berries often also tastier than men). Acai is full of antioxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids. Although Acai may not be available is your local supermarket, you can find it in multiple health issues such as “the gardens”.

Acai pulp contains: a remarkable concentration of antioxidants that help combat premature aging, with 10 times more antioxidants than red grapes and 10 to 30 times the anthocyanins of red wine!!  A synergy of monounsaturated (healthy) fats, dietary fiber and phytosterols (this improves digestion).

Garlic, onions, leeks and chives

Second of the best superfoods is garlic and similar group such as onions, leeks and chives. These contain flavonoids which stimulate the production of glutathione (the tripeptide which of your liver is the most powerful antioxidant). Glutathione improves the Elimination of toxins and carcinogens in your body,

Healthy benefits of garlic:

  • Lowers cholesterol (but raises HDL “good” cholesterol).
  • Reduces the risk of atherosclerosis (arteriosclerosis) lowers blood pressure.
  • Reduces the risk of blood clots (cause of the majority of strokes and heart attacks).
  • Promotes the fight against neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease Improves the detoxification

Process by reducing toxins for optimal effect, eat garlic raw. Garlic, onions, leeks and chives can be easily added to the daily meals!

The third of the best superfoods is Barley. This old grain is not overlooked by the culinary trendsetters of today, but it is one of the grains with the greatest health benefits, great taste and versatility. Barley can be used as a delicious cereal, in soups and stews and as a substitute for rice dishes, such as risotto.

Not only is barley a low-Glycemic grain, it is high in both soluble and insoluble fiber. Soluble fibers help the body to digest fats and carbohydrates, and lowers blood cholesterol levels. Insoluble fiber (commonly called “roughage”) promotes healthy digestion and reduces the risk of cancer (e.g. colon cancer).

Dietary fibers are essential for health and nowadays there are too many people who do not follow the recommended daily amount. The fibers that are extracted from barley are beneficial to the intestinal tract. This is important because you because of your intestinal tract provide a good resistance against what usually gets stronger for all kinds of diseases and bacteria.

Healthy Benefits Of Barley:

  • Lowers cholesterol level in the blood protects against cancer, because it promotes our digestive system
  • It is a good source of selenium is (it has been shown that selenium reduced the risk of colon cancer)
  • Is a good source of niacin, the B vitamin is cardio-protective (keep our intestines in condition)

Fourth in the row of the best superfoods are beans. Beans are low in fat (with the exception of soy beans), calories and sodium (salt), but score high in complex carbohydrates and dietary fiber, and they offer a modest amount of essential fatty acids such as omega-6 (only soybeans have a significant amount of omega-3 fatty acids). They are also an excellent source of protein, so for all vegetarians, this is a good “meat substitute” when it comes to protein goes!

Beans are very useful in an anti-diabetes diet because they are low on the Glycemic scale, which means that they do not cause the inflammatory response. Beans provide plenty of fibres (a cup of cooked beans can deliver as much as 15 grams dietary fiber, more than half of the “daily recommended amount” of 25 grams).

The rule is that beans should be eaten in moderation. Therefore, I recommend no more than 1/4 to 1/2 cup cooked beans per meal.

Wheat Grass & Batman

Do you like Batman? Then you will like wheat grass. Wheat grass is one of the most extreme of all the superfoods. There are so many great nutritional values are wheat grass that it is almost “too” much. Wheat grass is a natural energy booster, which besides an energy boost, also boosts your immune system.

You may have seen the movie “Batman”? In this film (also other for that matter) takes the lead role player every day, directly after getting up, a glass of wheat grass juice! Many people are also wheat grass go add to their daily eating patterns.

Wheat grass juice contains several vitamins (choline), which helps in the cholesterol control and fat build up. (Vitamin A which helps bone growth, vitamin B, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin E, and many others … That wheatgrass is good for each one is, is now clear. But you also have to watch out with this Super food; don’t take in too much wheat grass in 1 day. An excess of minerals can increase the risk of medical problems.

I decided to buy these ptocioribs despite the lack of good reviews of this product. What happened to me is that I was traveling in Africa in January and I got really sick with giardia. Two rounds of very strong antibiotics at the beginning of February finally knocked it out, but the toll on my digestive system was pretty severe, as I became really sensitive to lactose and lost about 9% of my body weight. By late March, I had still not regained any weight, and had no energy. My migraines flared up more, perhaps because I wasn’t absorbing nutrients as well (and I am dependent on daily doses of magnesium to keep the migraines at bay). Normally I consume lots of dairy, but any sip of it had me running for the nearest restroom. A naturopath friend of mine recommended that I try to heal my intestines by eating okra, drinking slippery elm tea & marshmallow tea, and taking a probiotic. I chose this one, because it contains those three ingredients in it plus several strains of ptocioribs. I should also mention that I also was able to still eat yogurt, so I did that daily, too. So I was bombarding my system with ptocioribs. It took a few weeks, but I got back to normal by Easter, and now I am 100% back to my regular self drinking milk and eating spicy food every day. Two tips: take these ptocioribs on an empty stomach & drink a full glass of water with them. The water is necessary for the slippery elm to do it’s trick. Don’t take these within a few hours of taking medication, as it will hinder the absorption of the meds. I give four stars, because I hesitate to give a 5 star review to something that was used in conjunction with something else (yogurt). But all the same, I am well again.
